Micro Needling with RF
Micro needling is one of the newest innovations in skin rejuvenation. Like many other skin rejuvenation technologies, micro needling uses the body’s natural healing processes to produce more flawless, younger looking skin. Now you can boost the benefits of micro needling by combining it with radio frequency skin rejuvenation for remarkably more profound results.
What Does Micro Needling Do?
Micro needling, also called collagen induction therapy, works by creating tiny perforations through the surface of the skin.
The body begins repairing these micro injuries by producing collagen. The new collagen helps reduce pore size, diminish fine lines and scars, improve skin texture, and improve skin firmness.
Micro needling is most often used to:
- Tighten loose or sagging skin
- Treat sun damage
- Diminish fine lines and deep wrinkles
- Reduce scars, particularly those caused by acne
- Correct pigmentation, including melasma
Boost Micro Needling Results with Fractional RF
Micro needling combined with fractional radio frequency (RF) produces a superior result in both skin quality and skin texture.
Radio frequency has been used in both medicine and aesthetic skin treatments for many years. In aesthetic skin treatments, radio frequency is used to stimulate the skin to restructure and regenerate collagen. When radio frequency energy is emitted under the skin, it stimulates deep collagen regeneration that adds volume. Combining micro needling skin resurfacing with radio frequency skin volumizing gives remarkable results.
This is how micro needling with radio frequency works: The micro needles in the treatment head create the micro perforations that will heal with newly formed collagen. When the micro needles have penetrated the skin, a radio frequency energy burst is discharged under the skin, causing thermolysis. Thermolysis is thermal damage that stimulates new collagen fibers to be produced. The skin subsurface heals, restoring age-related volume loss.
Is Micro Needling With RF Painful?
Most people have no pain during the treatment
In fact, numbing cream is used to reduce treatment discomfort, which is generally limited to feeling the pressure of the treatment head. Although pain tolerance is individual, most people have no pain during the micro needling with RF treatment.
What to Expect At Your Treatment
Micro needling with RF at Body Beautiful Spa is performed by senior licensed laser technicians.
Before beginning the micro needling with RF treatment, they will make sure you understand your post-treatment care instructions. They will also make sure that any questions you have about the micro needling with RF treatment have been answered.
If you are wearing makeup, you face will be gently cleansed. A topical anesthetic cream will be applied, and you’ll relax while it takes effect. The micro needling with RF treatment itself is relatively painless. You will likely feel pressure from the treatment head, and may feel an occasional zing from the radio frequency. Depending on the area(s) being treated, the micro needling with RF treatment typically takes between 30 and 45 minutes.
If you have questions about micro needling with RF treatment, you can call Body Beautiful Spa at 602-522-9222. We’ll be happy to answer your questions over the phone, or schedule a no-obligation consultation with one of our licensed treatment providers.
What to Expect After Your Treatment
You can expect your skin to be red for 1-3 days after a micro needling with RF treatment.
You can expect tiny pin point scabs to appear 24-72 hours post-treatment that will naturally shed when the underlying micro injury has healed.
For the first few days after your micro needling with RF treatment, you do need to avoid overheating the skin. During the first 48 hours following treatment, you should avoid saunas, hot showers and baths, heavy workouts, direct sun exposure, and swimming (due to chlorine). You also need to refrain from shaving or using makeup (except healing Lycogel) for 48 hours post-treatment.
Results become visible as the skin heals over the 3 to 4 weeks following a micro needling with RF treatment. Optimal results usually require a series of 3 to 4 treatments, each 3 to 4 weeks apart.
