Why have more than 12 million men and women helped make Botox America’s #1 cosmetic procedure?
Since 2002, Botox has helped both men and women look younger by easing wrinkles on the forehead (brow furrows), corners of the eyes (crow’s feet), and between the eyes (frown lines).
Botox's wrinkle-relaxing results take place incrementally over 7 to 14 days after treatment. Botox is the perfect complement to dermal fillers, such as Juvederm and Voluma, that restore volume to aging skin.
More than 12 million men and women have experienced real, noticeable results with Botox last year alone! The quick treatment time (appointments are only 30 minutes) and no down time are two big reasons why Botox, available at Body Beautiful Spa Phoenix, has become America’s #1 cosmetic procedure.

Frequently Asked Questions About Botox
Body Beautiful Spa Phoenix is a Day Spa and Medical Spa, which means we have a Medical Director. Our Medical Director, Dr. Mark Meyers, is a dermatologist who has been practicing in the Phoenix area for more than 20 years. Our licensed medical professionals, which include specially trained aesthetic nurses and Naturopathic Doctors (N.M.D.), are expert injectors with extensive experience not only with Botox for wrinkle reduction, but also with dermal fillers, such as Juvederm, Voluma, Restylane, and Radiesse.
Botox works by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles that tell the muscles to contract. When the muscles can no longer contract, wrinkles temporarily relax and soften. Botox is most often used to smooth wrinkles on the forehead, crow’s feet (wrinkles around the outside corner of the eye) and frown lines (wrinkles between the eyes).
The Botox procedure takes only a few minutes and no anesthesia is required. Botox is injected with a fine needle into specific muscles with only minor discomfort. The before and after generally takes seven to ten days to get the full effect.
The effects from Botox will slowly wear off over the course of four to six months. As muscle action gradually returns, the lines and wrinkles begin to re-appear and wrinkles will need to be re-treated. The lines and wrinkles soften with time because the muscles are being trained to relax.
The most Botox common side effect is temporary bruising. On extremely rare occasions, headaches lasting less than 24 to 48 hours can occur. No allergies have been associated with Botox to date.
To reduce the likelihood of bruising, you’ll want to avoid alcohol for at least one full week prior to your treatment. Blood thinning medications, including aspirin, non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as ibuprofen, some prescription medications, and Vitamin E should be stopped two weeks before treatment as well.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or have a neurological disease, you should not use Botox. Since Botox doesn’t work for all wrinkles, a consultation with a doctor is recommended.
